My babies
My kids are out, I'm all alone and I'm wandering from room to room thinking how quiet the place is without them.
The faint feeling of missing them clutches at my heart just for a second.
Then I find my watch face down in the butter......

Ahhhh that last line got me.
I have three kids. 15, 10 and 5. The 5 year old does stuff that totally defies logic and I empathised with the butter comment.

lol, thanks for the laugh. Kind of reminds me of when my angels were little and asleep and just had to wake them up with hugs and kisses because they were so flipping cute.... yeah, you do that only once...

I'm frequently stunned by the daft things my kids do and say. I can't even make the excuse that they're only young - they're 14 and 17! But they keep me laughing... once I've cleaned up the butter that is....

ROFL, but yet not b/c I remember being that sleepy when my kids were little. They are teens now. I still relish the quiet times. Often the stillness of the night when everyone is asleep is my refuge.
