You can have my cake and eat it
It seems this is a month for doing things I don't normally do. I just baked a cake :-)
I know all you mums who can whip up a raspberry pavlova while burping the baby, cleaning the oven and starching hubby's underpants are all saying "Big deal!" right now but it's been a long, long time since I made anything that didn't come out of a tin, jar or packet and I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself.
I used to bake for the kids all the time before I went to work full time. That was nearly 11 years ago so I'm a bit out of practise but, if (hopefully) I haven't lost my touch, we're in for a treat in approximately four minutes......

That's why we don't have a dog.
The kid's don't have an excuse for not turning in their homework and I can always find something to eat ;-)

LOL.The part time SAHMs at my office really get impressed when I bring in something that I bake. I get a lot of "I don't know how you do it...."

I actually had offers of marriage when I used to bake years ago but, as the saying goes, man cannot live by cake alone...
